However, since you insist upon one:
The point at which stubble becomes a beard is subjective. In my humble opinion, it takes place when the owner makes an effort at grooming it in some way...defining the edges, trimming the length; or as in the case of the Duck Dynasty guys, when no obvious intent at grooming is evidenced.
Hence my citation of "the continuum fallacy" to answer your "straw man" assertion.
But really, denying the obvious analogical similarities with a pretentious Latin cliché, and that offered in a contextual vacuum, is just weak.
