I would not be quite as critical as this author..
I tend to be more critical of the Trump admiration society then Trump himself..
I like the guy. He’s brash, he’s a quintessential New Yawker! He’s a Nor’easter law and order guy and that too is typical of the more rational in the metropolis.
But all that brashness and what looks like it’s supposed to be common sense, does not appear to have any substance because he never explains how he came to these opinions or how he will make America great again, for that matter.
I want the answers and the reasons for the answers...the footnotes, if you will. (and I want it from the man, not some campaign policy writer)
So for me, he’s shallow water. Interesting ripples but you can’t see through to the bottom. You have to take his word for it. Then I always ask myself, word for what?
We have a better candidate. His name is Cruz. He’s got all that Trump has plus what is missing.
Cruz, for whatever reason, does NOT and shan't attract disaffected Dems, Indies, blacks, Hispanics, lots of GOPers/leaning GOPers, ethnics, blue collar workers, white collar workers, ethnics, etc.; but Trump does. And no, no matter hows much you wish for it, that isn't going to change.
Good post. You've said it well.
Six position papers. Read ‘em.
He is a late arrival to the political arena. He was busy building his empire and couldn’t use other criteria for picking whom to donate to. Now he is working out his policies carefully—yes, with his advisers, as everyone does.
I would wait and see what he proposes for his health care plan, instead of assuming it’s going to be universal, single-payer. One thing you can be sure of, it will be more affordable for the average person, who right now is paying for all the Obama incompetence and corruption.
I hope he does that before Iowa or at least before New Hampshire.
