If it's libel and slander he should sue, but I would encourage you to look at the ads that Club for Growth ran that Trump threatened to sue them over. There is noting in these ads that is libel and slander, it is Trump in his own words. I'm just saying that it's a slippery slope if candidates sue other candidates against attack ads that don't contain libel and Donald threatened to sue Club for Growth after they aired attack ads that featured Donald using his own words.

It is a slippery slope but CFG implied Trump currently supports highest tax plan whereas in fact, his proposal is one of the lowest.

I know we have to be careful but the fact is, if Trump or anyone doesn’t have a legal objection, they won’t win the suit. And if the ones running these ads are on solid legal ground, they have nothing to fear.

It sounds like “lawfare” to me. Even if Trump has no case, they know he has more money to throw away on pursuing a frivolous lawsuit than they have to throw away defending against one. So it’s an intimidation tactic to get people to not want to take the risk.

The lie that the Club for Growth made was that they said he supported things in THIS campaign that he suggested or mentioned many years ago when he was not even running for office.
