It's a rational decision.

A congresswoman is almost by definition part of the GOPe.

What is the GOPe?

Look at it this way: you might like Ted Cruz bringing all kinds of things up for vote that he can't win.

If you're a congresswoman or congressman it gets on your nerves. It means more chances to alienate people with your vote and lose support.

If some roll-call is going to hurt you and not achieve anything, you're not going to like having to vote on it. So she's not going to be backing Ted Cruz.

And probably not a loose cannon like Donald Trump either. Who knows what he's going to do or what shape a party will be in after he's done with it?

Her decision may not be yours, but it makes sense for her. And it doesn't mean she's a traitor or a bad person.

She is a politician. Period. Trust her, like any politicians, at your own risk.

“...Her decision may not be yours, but it makes sense for her. And it doesn’t mean she’s a traitor or a bad person.”

Well, she may not be (or may be, I don’t know) a “bad person” but when she ran for office she held herself out to be a Tea Party candidate. She rapidly shed that persona upon being sworn into office. And, to those of us who voted for her and/or donated to her based upon her “Tea Party” themed campaign, she IS a traitor who, at best, misrepresented herself.
