The United States Embassy in Italy has issued a security alert to all Americans abroad, warning them to avoid locations that have been identified as potential targets for terrorist attacks.
At the top of the short list is "St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican City (Rome)."

I’m glad I got all of my European travel out of my system. I’ll stick to the good ole USA. It may not be perfect but I feel much safer here than abroad.

I was doing preliminary planning for my wife’s 65th birthday trip - - take her and the three kids to the UK, Switzerland and Austria. Starting to rethink those plans.

Well, they call us the great satanism because we, traditionally, backed despots and made their ruling classes reach beyond belief. And when they finally get overthrown we back the wrong guys. And finally when we invade them to get rid of the despots...we try to install a corrupt version of our government.
I am no fan of terrorists. But the best thing we could do is just stop trying to “help” them and get out of there.
