I get the Trump surge but I am still on the fence. My alternative is Ted Cruz.
Here is the interesting thing. My wife is conservative but generally chooses to ignore politics until the last minute. Last night she announced that she strongly supports Trump. She said that she does not believe any of the other candidates are up to the terrorism threat except Donald Trump. Wow! I was amazed. Her reaction is making me look more seriously at Trump.
Your wife's reaction illustrates response to the fundamental attribute of charisma--the display of unconflicted, unambiguous confidence in oneself and one's beliefs. Reagan had it, Obama flashes it at times, Trump has it, Hillary does not. Trump will be hard to beat by any of the word-woozing politicians up against him.
