(Interesting thread. Anybody else notice the heightened “pitch” of voices today...not just here on FR, but Rush, Levin, Drudge and Hannity? The rhetoric is reaching a flashpoint...this level can’t continue and stay contained. I’ve seen angry threads before on boards, but today all if them are reflecting sort of a “before the storm” feeling.)

Dont forget that a common communist tactic is to agitate in order to CREATE a crisis, and then use the opportunity to take power. That might be why obama is pressing the issue.

The psychology behind the anger is interesting. One of a leader's most basic responsibilities is to protect the group, whether it be a family, platoon, or nation. When a leader refuses to protect the group, its member become angry. The refusal is a betrayal and an existential threat.
We at FR know that Hussein was never a leader and never had a shread of honor. But some people are only realizing it now.
