No question, Trump’s plain talk has sounded a note that resonates.
But, demanding tat Cruz do it like Trump is silly.
Fact is, that if there were to be a one on one intellectual debate with choice of blades, Cruz would have the rapier; Donald the pancake turner.

Problem with Cruz supporters is they are stuck on debate. There are no every day debates where Cruz can show what a great debater he is and that proves to all Americans that he should be POTUS. Why can you not see that? Cruz reminds me of Bush. Too nice to win.
I would wager Cruz is waiting on Trump to knockout Carson and Rubio. That is not a winning formula.
I would liken trump more to a blender than a pancake turner. Push the button too long and you get mincemeat.
