Mizzou/Black Lives Protesters Say Paris Attacks Took Spotlight

After 129 were killed in coordinated attacks Friday in Paris, several protesters took to Twitter to express anger at "losing the spotlight" in the media.

"Racist white people kill me, you want everyone to have sympathy for YOUR tragedy, but you have none for ours," wrote user Melanin Monroe under the Twitter handle @NeonElectricity in a post that has since been removed.

There’s a difference between feeling threatened by the existence of people of another ethnicity and actually getting killed by people of a particular religion.

The first can be paranoia or actual build up to purges, the second actual purging.

And (at least) one black hero, the man who was killed shielding someone else from the gunfire.
