I have a question...Regarding those extra magazines on the guys chest...

Seems to me a bullet in that area would cause a few of them to "cook off"...with disastrous effect on the wearer.

It’s easier to get in and out of vehicles and to move quickly with them not at the waist. Quicker and easier access. If you do get hit in a mag it will slow or deflect the bullet and if it does cook a cartridge off it will be minor, low grade explosion.
