Well, I do nto know, especially considering that separation of church and state does not actually exist.
However, such a department as envisioned by the likes of John Kasich and administered by the Beast of Hell known as the US federal Government is just about the scariest thing I have ever even thought of in my entire life.
Like, seriously, put my hands up in the air and run through a bunch of walls leaving a perfect hole in the likeness of my silhouette type of scary.
