Yes, I was agreeing with you and noticed you are in good company in your thinking.
I am studying trying to understand the Middle Eastern thought concerning what we see happening and what has occurred in the past. We Americans have been fighting off these “political” and terrorist attacks since a few years after we became a nation (1801, First Barbaric War). Perhaps, if more voters realized Islamic Jihad (translated struggle) includes more than terrorism, we could protect America more effectively. Jihad includes temporarily peaceful aspects of using a host nations laws against the host nation to change the laws to be more Sharia Law friendly and to generate financial provisions for criminal acts of terrorism elsewhere. Also, it can include using birth rate and immigration to increase numbers in host nation. A dualism seems apparent in the teachings allowing individuals and groups to choose a peaceful action or speech. Or the individual or group can choose a more aggressive and violent action or speech. It seems to depend more on what the individual or group thinks will help their cause the most in the situation. Both choices are in agreement (dualism) with the teachings. And obviously, not all individuals or groups are in sync. Thanks.
May I recommend the following book (it's free if you have kindle unlimited):

Well said. Would that all Westerners understood this. Obama does.
