While my preference is Cruz, Trump has some characteristics that we may need right now.

Trump is a no-nonsense “leader.” He doesn’t want to play the games.

Most people in politics are there because they enjoy the game, and they don’t really care much about the end. They enjoy playing the means, and many times the means are more important than then ends. Dinner, cocktails, parties, schmoozing with other elites and hollywood, oh what fun. This is why we have a democrat and a GOPe/RINO one party. Both groups are leftist liberals that enjoy being part of the game and enjoy the processes that are involved.

Cruz doesn’t want to play the game, neither does Trump. But Cruz has been in the game and is somewhat stuck by the game process rules. He doesn’t necessarily know how to get out of the game. But has been very good at struggling within, such as his exposure with Boehner, and others.

Trump hasn’t been in the game, and doesn’t necessarily even know the rules. He doesn’t care to know the rules, doesn’t want to be part of the process, and doesn’t want to play the game. And this is why he makes it clear he is self-funding. He is owned by no one. No man owns Trump. This makes Trump both very good and very scary. Many people are afraid that he might run amok on the constitution. A valid concern.

So a Trump/Cruz ticket right now would be good. Cruz will learn a lot about how to not play the game and how spot the process failures and also learn how to lead through them. Cruz is young and will be president next.

And think about this....clearly, Trump is not “as conservative” as Reagan. But Reagan put on Bush as VP, and that hurt us. Bad.

Not faulting Reagan, he did what he thinks was right, and really, all things considered, I think it was the right thing to do. But still...let’s face it. Reagan tapping Bush hurt us in the long run.

But Trump tapping Cruz, sort of does the opposite. It doesn’t allow the conservative movement to stall; rather, it ramps it up.

Fascinating, really. And awesome.
