Chelsea Clinton discusses hunger issues (money quote is at the end)
High Plains Journal ^ | 11/16/2015 | Jennifer Carrico

Food issues around the world are not easily solved, but with the empowerment of women and teaching women how to grow food, this can change.

Chelsea Clinton, vice chair of the Clinton Foundation, said the food crisis won’t be solved any time soon, but by giving women the same access to growing and marketing food as men have around the world, hunger issues can decrease. (snip)

"We need to be sure to help small farmers around the world get access to what is needed to grow food, so they can have the same opportunities to be successful as the larger farmers," said Clinton. "Investing in and empowering women is the smart thing to do."

Clinton stressed women farmers also need to be leaders and help others learn how to grow crops. In areas where the Clinton Foundation has helped with training and education, these people have better farming practices and better food opportunities.(snip)

"Since women and girls are doing a large part of the work on the farms in other countries, it is important for them to be taught the best practices they can use in their situation in order to increase yields and combat hunger in their families and communities," said Clinton.(snip)

Clinton said she was always taught she could do anything she put her mind to: "My grandma always said, 'Life is not about what happens to you, but what you do about what happens to you.'

I thought the money quote was on Monica's blue dress? Oh, never mind, that was the money shot.

Just like her mother’s 7th grade debate style and the msm’s 7th grade debate questions to the GOP.

Because no one know more about farming than the Clinton family.

BS. I am a woman farmer, considered “small farm” (less than 2k acres) and we don’t want to be coddled. We are just as active and fucntional in the market as men. We don’t need or want special treatment. It will not affect the outcome as far as ‘hunger’ nor are we held back. Over the last 30 years women have made great strides on our own in farming (not selling the farms but actively farming now) and resent being used as a liberal talking point.

Also, regarding ‘small farms’ it takes a lot of money and has a thin profit margin to farm (much thinner than most businesses). If you don’t have several million in land and equipment you won’t make it past a couple of years farming. Its a bit of a thankless profession.

but with the empowerment of women and teaching women how to grow food

That’s is a great statement! Who would guess? Teaching women how to poke a seed into dirt and to water it.

The absolute stupidity of it all is that in 20 years the entire population of the earth will at least double and the available land to plant crops will probably diminish by about 10%.

40 years from now the population will have doubled once again and the land to plant crops may fall another 10%.

POPULATION CONTROL...NOT EMPOWERING WOMEN TO PLANT SEEDS is the only answer.

If you look at Hubbell here and compare him to the pic of Chelsea in post 3 above, the resemblance is uncanny.

Can you post these side by side?

Imagine having the Clintons as your “parents”?

I’m surprised she’s still alive and apparently lucid.

85% of both foundation $$ goes to salaries and 15% to “charities”..... maybe

She lives in a $10 million nyc apt... and dont ask where the $$$ came from...

And how do you propose this ‘population control’ be enacted?

Chelsea’s looks are not the issue. Her naivete is. Look at what has happened to Zimbabwe, the bread basket of Africa. Whatever we give to help those people ends up in the hands of oppressive and ruthless dictators. Might as well pour it down a rat hole.

Hyperbole to a fault! Utterly pretentious rhetoric intended to elevate her mother’s claim to being Chief Benefactress to Women...another media lie.

Yep. As a woman (not a farmer) I get tired of hearing that we need special help to succeed. Success depends on pretty much everything except your sex chromosomes. Ability and work ethic play huge roles.

If, however, she is referring to women across the globe, then they do need help in a certain misogynist culture. Not that any Clinton would ever point out the abuses heaped upon women by Muslims.
