The comments over there are the usual claptrap.

We all have three sides. On one side is our Spock. The being of pure logic. It knows what makes sense and what is right with all emotion factored out. On the other side is our McCoy. Emoting and yelling at our Spock that it is a “green blooded, inhuman monster.” In the middle is our Captain Kirk, weighing each side and ideally coming out with a solution that is based mostly on Spock’s advice with a touch of McCoy’s humanity.
Unfortunately, the left has succeeded in killing Kirk and Spock and leaving McCoy driving the Enterprise. All emotion, all irrationality all the time. One need look no further than the college campuses.
