Not a very good track record.

Exactly. They haven’t exactly been getting it right the past few cycles. How many times can they screw the pooch before they become irrelevant.

With Carson crashing there is
no doubt that Cruz will pick up Carson's evangelical support. With his existing reserves of hard money, there is, again,
no doubt Cruz will win Iowa.
None.
Then likely, he goes the way of Santorum and Huckabee. I don't believe he wins a single primary.

Stop pretending you give a chit about Trump. You are just whistling past the graveyard. Trump will likely win Iowa and run the table. If not he will run the rest of the table. :-)

“Cruz’s problem is Carson”.
You nailed it. Trump effectively hobbled Carson last week, but did not kill him off. He wants Carson to stick around to keep Cruz down in the polls.
Carson may still win Iowa, but that will be all he’ll win.
Trump should run the tables from New Hampshire on out.

Right....
Cause I remember when Howard Dean won Iowa and then screamed he would go on to win the other states... Oh, yeah, he never did. Kerry was the nominee.
And I remember when Rick Santorum won Iowa and then went on to... no, nevermind.
And I remember when Mike Huckabee won Iowa and then went on to... Oh, nevermind that, too!
Iowa is no factor in who wins at then end in MOST elections. Sorry.

Go watch the youtube of the rally in Texas, nobody connects with his audience like Trump.
I know!
Some here say nobody can beat Hillary, others say they want Cruz over Trump.
Our best shot is Trump.

Iowa does NOT decide the race. The author is right a Trump loss will be devastating to his brand of invincibility. 0-1 is not what the Trumpkins had envisioned.

Just appoint Iowa to elect the president for us. That is just what the GOPe intended.

exactly my point Mike. Iowa will change things because he won’t be at the top anymore. He counts on that.
