Mourning Parisians have laid flowers and candles

When the h*ll did this practice begin? I don't recall this happening when I was a young man and it must have been imported from the 3rd world.

Good point.

No funeral or memorial in the history of the West ever used flowers or candles until a few years ago.

In 16th century England, most people sent bouquets of iPhones to decorate the graves of the dead, and people went to churches to snap neon green glowsticks in memory of their dead relatives.
