Walker: 'Wisconsin will not accept new Syrian refugees'
MADISON, Wis. - Gov. Scott Walker said in a statement Monday the state of Wisconsin "will not accept new Syrian refugees."
Walker said his first priority is to protect citizens, and that he has concerns about the Obama Administration's plan to accept 10,000 or more Syrian refugees.
"In consultation with out Adjutant General, who also serves as my Homeland Security Advisor, it is clear that the influx of Syrian refugees poses a threat," Walker said in the statement. "The state of Wisconsin will not accept new Syrian refugees.".........
