(Provincial fire marshal asserts blaze set deliberately, police say)
Peterborough police are investigating a case of arson at the city's only mosque, an act that the president of the local Muslim association says was a 'clearly a hate crime'.
The fire broke out at the Kawartha Muslim Religious Association's mosque at around 11 p.m Saturday, police said. No one was inside the Masjid Al-Salaam Mosque at the time.
But association president Kenzu Abdella said members of the congregation had been inside the 784 Parkhill Rd. just an hour before the fire broke out there, celebrating the birth of a new baby.
'Uneasiness'
"The scare for people is that what if this had happened while we in there?" he said Sunday. "So there is a bit of uneasiness in the community."........

Is is a hate crime or self-defense?
Correction... Is IT, not IsIS... maybe it was not a mistake but a Freudian slip...
I find it very interesting that we call this a hate crime. Yet even though the MSM and liberals agree the Muslims hate us, all the killings in Paris have not been officially declared a hate crime. PC at is worst.
