Teddy Roosevelt addressed public concerns about football with Ivy League presidents in 1905. There was widespread public opinion that college football was depraved reckless behavior like binge drinking is now.

Thank god our culture has progressed so much since then!

Nonsense. The first game of American football is widely cited as a game played on November 6, 1869, between two college teams, Rutgers and Princeton. Ever hear of Walter Camp.

A 1905 peak of 19 fatalities nationwide resulted in a threat by President Theodore Roosevelt to abolish the game unless major changes were made.

Football was widely popular before Roosevelt became President. And it is the most popular sport in America today. The Left is trying to destroy American football. No doubt about that. Too violent. Young men need to be feminized and neutered.
