I'm not 100% certain how their government works.But IIRC as long as there are enough individuals in Parliament willing to support him as Prime Minister he remains in office until the next election is required.I'm not sure if elections must take place every 3...4...or 5 years.

As an Alaskan living next door to the Yukon and the western provinces, I can tell you that Trudeau, to the people of the Yukon, Alberta, and Manitoba, is going to be a curse word like you wouldn’t believe. They will hate him with a passion, similar to how the US “flyover country” feels about Obama.
This area of Canada is commodity dependent, producing the bulk of Canadian oil, it represents the conservative part of Canada.
Notice, I didn’t include the province of British Columbia with the conservative west, the bulk of their population being in the liberal left cities of Vancouver and Victoria, rules the rest of the province.
