Gun control works great in France. Only terrorists are armed.

Gun Control, as opposed to “restrictions on the ownership and permitted legal purposes for which guns may be used”, is a whole different concept.

Make sure the weapon is loaded and ready to fire, bring it up to aim by sighting over a V-notch and bead, optical sight, or laser pointer at target, SQUEEZE off the trigger, and if confident another round is in the chamber, repeat the steps until the sunuvabitz falls down. Heart shot, or failing that, a head shot. If neither is possible or practical, then a wound sufficient to disable either the opponent’s ability to fire back at you, or damage his capability to crawl away.

Now that is Gun Control. When you discharge all the ammunition in the chamber or magazine, reload and return to the fray.

It's also important to properly match the tool to the job. Sometimes a Beretta Bobcat might suffice, rather than a firearm too big to handle.
