Confusion!
Trump stands zero chance of getting the GOP nomination, thus he would have to go turd party to get on the general ballot. Even if he got elected, his agenda is liberal Democrat lite.
That places him in the shoes of Ross Perot.
Trump, on the other hand can easily get the GOP nomination as things are shaping up, and he is beholden to people of his own political stripe only. IOW, all he has to do is what he set out to do in the first place.

The reality is that, what has happened last week over at Mizzou and in Paris pretty much has given the GOP nomination/2016 win to Mr. Trump.
