Former Texas state senator Wendy Davis said in an interview published Tuesday that she had an abortion after 20 weeks of pregnancy “out of love” for her daughter.
In an interview with Mic, Davis said, “I discovered that my daughter was suffering from an irreparable and non-life sustaining brain deformation or malformation, and it was one of the most heart-wrenching decisions I’ve ever had to make, and I made my decision out of love.”
As reported by CNSNews.com, reporter Elizabeth Plank attended a pro-life conference and interviewed participants first about whether abortion itself is murder, and, second, about whether a woman who has an abortion is a murderer.
“On the surface, these people believe that life starts at conception and that abortion is murder,” Plank explains. “But when we got beyond the rhetoric, the people we spoke to were loving, kind-hearted, and sympathetic.

She’s using the same speechwriter as Jeb.
Don't kid yourself, Ms. Davis. You had the abortion out of a calculation that it would be more convenient and less costly to abort than to give birth to a terminally ill child and have to pay for its medical care (which could be quite costly, depending on how long it survived) and funeral expenses. Lots of people do make that decision, and it *is* a difficult one--as long as one is honest about abortion.
Don't kid yourself that you spared your child any pain by aborting it instead of letting it live to the natural end of its life. Even abortionists have publicly admitted that children feel pain at 20 weeks--they won't confirm that the neurological development is such that a child will feel pain when being aborted at *any* stage of pregnancy, because such knowledge would decrease the number of women who are willing to use abortion as primary birth control. Unless the abortionist who slaughtered your child anesthetized your child before tearing her apart, she suffered agony.
FYI, there are hospice centers that specialize in caring for the families of terminally ill unborn children. They do not push abortion as a method to pretend the children never existed--rather, they specialize in giving families emotional support, and in giving those families quality time with their unborn/newborn terminally ill child. Sure, the hospice care is probably more expensive than abortion, but it gives emotional support and closure, plus it does not cause permanent damage to the mother's womb the way abortion does, so she can go on to have other children if she chooses.
âOn the surface, these people believe that life starts at conception and that abortion is murder,â Plank explains. âBut when we got beyond the rhetoric, the people we spoke to were loving, kind-hearted, and sympathetic.
Of course people who want to protect babies and save lives are loving, kind-hearted, and sympathetic. Why would you think otherwise? On the other side, people who want to protect women's "right" to use abortion as their primary form of birth control, at any stage of pregnancy and even after birth are cold, callous, and cruel. No aspect of pushing murder can be interpreted as "kind-hearted."
Murdering a human being is a sign of “love”? That’s some weird s.....
Sounds like a muslim.
Wendy baby....you KILLED your child for your convenience!!
Like the boy who cried wolf, do we know if she ever speaks the truth?
My thought exactly. Beat me too it.
Yeah, love for herself, love for a lifestyle with no restrictions like caring for a child, love for bed hopping without consequences.
She truly is ‘The Abortion Barbie’.....and to think this vile cretin ran for the Gov of Tx. SHe needs to go back to Rhodent Island.
dead, butchered babies = love. Twisted souls just like Wendy.
it seems that the mother was the one with brain damage
‘Out of love’ for satan!
Well there’s a good real life example for some kid on his Animal Farm or 1984 essay ... if they’re still reading those ... or reading at all.
