Police are reportedly chasing a car containing four 'heavily armed men' who stormed through a motorway toll road as they headed towards Paris.
French police are said to be in pursuit of a Citroën Berlingo after it forced its way through a toll on the A10 in the Ablis area of Yvelines in north-west France.
The town is approximately 40 miles from the centre of Paris and the incident comes as police remain on high alert following a string of deadly terror attacks across the French capital last night.

You should know wtf you are talking about before you throw stones! Read about France’s gun control laws.
I know what I am talking about! I am an American but I OWN GUNS IN FRANCE! I HUNT in FRANCE. I SHOOT COMPETITIVELY in FRANCE. Last November I brought two of my guns back to the U.S. Is that clear enough for you? Just because some idiot article says France is a gun free zone, people believe what is printed because they READ it in the newspaper or online. LIES are perpetrated by those who READ it and believe it.
Anybody who believes the Washington Posts anti gun rhetoric is a fool. There are several gross errors in their article.
De lord. Nuff said. Haven’t been able to reach anyone I know over there. Im sure all is well on a personal level. Country is hurting just like we were. Bidart and Biarritz, when I die I’m moving there.
Why don’t you just move to France if you think it is so great. You sure spend a lot of time of FR promoting France and it’s restrictive gun laws that somehow don’t seem to apply to you.
I have often wondered if the popular American view of Marine LePen also suffers from media manipulation.
What kind of gun restrictions DO exist in France that justifies them looking down their continental noses at us “cowboys?”
I have to question whether you're being a bit punctilious over the "gun free" label.
Certainly, if the access to firearms for use in self defense on any practical level is onerously regulated, quibbling over "gun free" comments is nit-picking.
Since when does a desire to clarify mistakes about another country constitute a divided loyalty?
Your comment is an embarrassment to thinking FReepers.
You are an embarrassment to thinkers on FR. How long have you been a member now? Oh, I see April 2015...you have spent an inordinate amount of time defending France’s gun control laws...you are telling everyone don’t believe what you read about it, just believe you.
Where?
Look again, genius. I'm not the other poster.
Be that as it may, seniority is irrelevant in this. The simple fact is your "if you love him so much, why don't you marry him" type rhetoric belongs on a playground, not among serious adults discussing weighty issues.
What's next, "my research can beat up your research?"
Yep, I got the wrong guy....
Point is, they don’t have a Second Amendment in France, and if they were allowed to concealed carry, maybe 3 guys wouldn’t be able to kill over 100 citizens.
Not sure why you are defending a bunch of hog wash about gun equivalence in France.
I'm not defending hog wash in France. I'm calling out childish kvetching taking the place of sound argumentation.
You may not have noticed, but I asked the other poster to support her contrarian viewpoint BEFORE I posted anything to you.
Thinking and argumentation have rules. If someone wants to see you being petulant, they don't come here to find it.
At one time, most Europeans were forbidden to own weapons of a caliber identical to military weapons. i.e. 9MM. 7.62MM. 5.56MM, etc. Not sure if still true.
Unfortunately, Paris is a hub of the illegal arms trade industry. AKs (Full auto) go for $1100-$1500.
You’re right, but the prices are even sometimes cheaper from what I understand. France has strict laws on automatic weapons and military calibers, but not nearly as awful as England. There are about thirty arms per 100 people in France which ranks them pretty high (Higher than Canada) in the World Ranking.By comparison, England has around 6 per one hundred people.
I love French pastries too. Who doesn’t. Just returned from 4 months in France. Nice to be home.
...and you are the adult in the room. FO
You've made that more than obvious. Thanks.
That was sarcasm, but you seem to want to wear the slight with pride.
...and stop repeating what I say.
