Another thing: until yesterday, Levin was a strong and pretty much unequivocal defender of Trump. Now he makes one criticism of Trump, and Trump's more ardent defenders go spastic. What's going on? Have people lost their minds?

You're 100% correct. Although I'd expect the pandering from Hannity the pansy, I have been exasperated and disappointed by Levin's and Limbaugh's failure to call Trump to accountability. It's almost as if they are afraid to do so lest they lose their privilege to move in Trump's social circles. That's all I could figure out because they have no problem giving Bush or Graham (neither of whom would ever get my vote) the business. If they're going to go easy on one, they need to go easy on all. But if they're going to be tough on some and not all, then I will step forward to call out their hypocrisy when they claim they're not endorsing anyone. On the plus side, I have saved myself a few dollars since I opted not to renew my Rush 24/7 membership. I've been a Rush listener since '92 and a 24/7 member since he first set up his website subscriptions, and this is the first time I've ever felt disappointed in him.

BTW, Trump did a crass thing because Trump is a crass person. Turns out, we seem to be turning into a crass electorate.

What you said about Rush and Hannity not wanting to lose the privilege of moving in Trump’s social circles? I think you have something there. Rush has always enjoyed talking about his golf games with Trump, and a Freeper who knows something about him says that he’s always had a certain insecurity and awe of celebrity. Regardless, I haven’t listened to him since his show became a Trump infomercial.

For me, though, it isn’t about Rush, or Mark Levin, or Ben Carson. I listen to talk radio infrequently, and I don’t take their thoughts as my own-—when they agree with me, fine, and when they don’t, I turn off the radio.

As for Carson, he isn’t my candidate. Never will be-—we disagree on too much.

The same is true of Trump. The man has a completely liberal past, and I state before God that I voted for my last liberal in 2012 when I pushed the button for Romney. I learned a hard spiritual lesson as a direct result of that action, and I won’t go into the details here.

I don’t care how much grief I get from the more rabid Trump supporters. I just don’t. Intimidation doesn’t work with me. And some of these people are so emotionally wrapped up in the man that they get hysterical at the prospect of having to do without their Donnie. Just check out a Cruz thread if you don’t believe me.

There are plenty of reasons I won’t support Trump. But as far as I’m concerned, the tirade he went on in Iowa should give any thinking person serious pause. It was nothing but an unhinged rant from an egomaniac who couldn’t deal with the fact that someone was beating him, or about to.

I had my husband watch the video of the speech. My guy is a man of few words; quiet, strong, not given to drama...as the female, that’s my department, lol. But I wanted to see what he thought.

I watched his face as the video played, and his eyes widened in disbelief a couple of times, and he shook his head a few times. When it was over, he said, “There’s no way that man should come anywhere near the Oval Office.”

I agree.
