I agree with the poster upthread who said that it makes Trump sound desperate when he has no need to be.

Furthermore, what purpose does it serve for *any* candidate to go ad hominem during a stump speech when that very same candidate refuses to answer an ad hominem eliciting question posed by a lib moderator during a televised debate.

Give me SUBSTANCE! Give me ISSUES!

Trump, unlike most others gives plenty ofc substance and specifics.

Politics is a blood sport and always has been ! And what trump said about Carson was NOT an ad hominem; he merely quoted what Carson had stated in his own book.

And I would add that Levin defended Trump against Megyn Kelly's gotcha.

So Levin seems pretty consistent now that he defends Carson against Trump's gotchas.

Exactly and it would be pretty easy for a candidate to rip Carson on the issues.
