What this brings to light is that everyone should have a very detailed plan of end of life care with their physician before medical symptoms preclude you from establishing those instructions. Once you are impaired in any way, it's going to be the worst way to go because your wants or instructions can be questioned and the courts will always side on their desire, not yours. Always be out in front.
The Terri Schiavo case is not a matter for political discussion at this time. It's a reminder for everyone to make sure their family or personal physician understands the full scope of your wishes and is there to assist you when a cure or continued life is possible and again when there is no hope but continuing deterioration.

Terry Schiavo was injured under very suspicious circumstances at a very young age. Husband should have been a suspect rather than be allowed to determine her care. Sorry, I disagree...Terri’s case is up for “discussion” anytime, anywhere. She was murdered by State decree, if you cannot see that, then we have nothing further to share.
