So many people are spiritually clueless.
Just as the Sabbath has fallen, in a city known for hedonism and permissiveness, with venues “precisely”(ISIL’s own words) chosen, in this case, for its “prostitution and vice” (ISIL’s own words), and with concert goers stoked with intoxicants (spirits...) the extreme sub-genre “death metal” literally came true. Death metal - the bullets that killed them.
If you worship death especially after taking spirits to enhance that experience, death seeks you out.
It was also a new moon (special satanic energy) and extra special energy for the satanic cult of death, islam.
Yet, people are shocked at the death and carnage. Clueless.

“The lyrical themes of death metal may invoke slasher film-stylized violence,[3] religion (sometimes Satanism), occultism, Lovecraftian horror, nature, mysticism, mythology, philosophy, science fiction, and politics,[4][5] and they may describe extreme acts, including mutilation, dissection, torture, rape, cannibalism, and necrophilia.”
And if it were freaking Metallica-in-its-prime would that have in any way mitigated this act of jihadi carnage?
I point this out as a courtesy so you don't embarrass yourself further.

My preacher told me years ago that spirits opened you up to demons or unclean spirits. I had no idea and I should since I think I kept a couple of Scotch distillers in business.
The Muzzies do seem to be partial to symbolism and it is no stretch to see why they would have chosen a band with death metal in its name. You mentioned Lovecraft, I read a collection of his stories when I was about 13 and I have never picked up anything of that genre since. He was very good at what he did. I am the same about horror movies, if it scares me I see no reason to watch it. Never understood the attraction they have for some people.
Death cults, the popularity of vampire movies and books, in general the worship of death means to me that we have a lot of sick puppies out there. Death finds us all sooner or later, no need to hasten our ends.
