Yes redemption is possible if it’s sought honestly.
My question is, considering we have a man with a High 90th percentile lifetime legacy of conservatism, why do we ignore that man and instead, go with a man in need of redemption to begin with? There is no need. We aren’t bereft of an alternative.
Until DT announced, everyone on this site was tossing words like ‘clown’ around. DT backers were scorned. Today, the people once screaming ‘Clown’ make up his most vocal backers.
Cruz was the fair haired boy that people were lining up to vote for. Salvation was nigh!
And then it wasn’t. People decided politics was our reality TV show. Thats not a slam on Trump. Thats a slam on the people that will worship at whichever Pillars of Styro entertain them.
When you go down the list one for one, Cruz wins in a walk on positions. The one thing trump MIGHT beat him on is immigration and Ted’s plans were totally gung ho great until Trump said “Wall”.
Ted will build that wall too. He will deport too. He will do all the things DT will in general. And he has no need for redemption.
What he will not do is continue socialized medicine under another name and say ‘Sorry conservatives. I love ye but we GOTTA take care of everybody.”
We already did. It’s called medicaid. And it provided better coverage at less cost then socialized anything.
I don’t think DT hates America like Romney does. I think he loves his country very much. But so does Ted Cruz. And Ted, with a couple blown out his ass is far from a man needing redemption as a conservative.
