I remember when it was first announced that Lawrence was going to play the lead in The Hunger Games, some crackpot Freeper beseeched the Almighty for his protection on this "fine Christian woman."

I hope that Freeper reveals why she thought what she did back then on this thread.

I’d cut whoever said that a bit of slack.

Lawrence seems like a repeat of Katy Perry, who came from an evangelical family and was a Christian singer before breaking into pop. Lawrence herself says that she was raised as a Republican.

Also reminds me of Rebecca deMournay (sp?), who went hard Left after making it big in Hollywood. I’d say Angelina Jolie too, but I’ve never seen any evidence that she was Conservative (like her dad, Jon Voight) to begin with.
