Billionaire 2016 GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump waded into coffee giant Starbucks' alleged war on Christmas Monday when he suggested a boycott of the company over its controversial red holiday cups, but the company says there is no war.
"Did you read about Starbucks?" Trump asked a crowd of about 10,200 during a rally at a convention center in Springfield, Illinois, on Monday evening.
"No more 'Merry Christmas' at Starbucks. No more," he said as the crowd booed disapprovingly at his comments. "I wouldn't buy. Hey look, I'm speaking against myself. I have one of the most successful Starbucks in Trump Tower," he continued. "Maybe we should boycott Starbucks, I don't know. Seriously," he added to cheers. "I don't care. By the way: That's the end of that lease. But who cares? Who cares? Who cares?!"
Trump then hit the crowd with this promise: "If I become president, we're all going to be saying 'Merry Christmas' again. That I can tell you. That I can tell you! Unbelievable."

Has anyone ever seen The Donald and The Laz in the same place at the same time?
Hmmmmm....
Just askin’
Don’t forget twerking!
I believe that is damning with faint praise. :)
But I don't think it is clumsy, but calculating; not for love but for political gain. I think it hurts more than it helps.
Thanks very much for your thoughtful replies.
Except that didn't happen; Starbucks did not disparage Christmas. So the rest is for meaningless show, an attempt to manipulate based on a lie.
We have a nice "mom and pop" place that we use. I joke it's like the Cheers bar where everyone knows your name instead of being sterile and impersonal like Starbucks.
Was just in there yesterday. One of their coffee product lines is named Christmas Blend.
So they’re actually using the C word on on one of their product lines!
I smell a real set up with this one.
Nice.
Disagree. Small things like this without any challenges can continue to lead us into a God-less nation.
I’m a Christian and here is what God says about sitting back and doing nothing...
“Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.”
My theory is if when you are buying a 4 dollar cup of coffee and your main concern is the decorations on the outside of the cup you are probably a person that should not be taken seriously in the first place.
Not necessarily, and I don't think Trump cares that much.
He has said 'give me a room and a podium' when asked about moderators, and didn't say anything about the moderators at all.
So far he has managed to put one over all the moderators unfair questions.
âFurthermore, the way a fool lives shows he has no sense; he proclaims to everyone that heâs a fool.â

The cup issue.
It is simply one of a million tiny cuts, and thus should be ignored until the wound is much larger.
It will be easier to address when the wound is spurting blood, not now when a Band-Aid can fix it.
Yes McD’s taste better, but they don’t allow CCW permit holders in their stores. So they lost my business, I won’t even go through the drive through.
I can buy a big can of Kroger’s Supreme coffee and between the 2 of us it last a month. For the cost of 1 of those over priced left wing cups of coffee.
And I can buy gift cards that double my gas points, starting Nov 18-Dec 8 they are 4 times the points, excluding Kroger, Credit, and Multi denominations. I can Christmas shop in 10 mins for 7 grands, 5 great grands and hubby.
Disagree. You cannot allow things to go unchallenged early in the process. You have to cut it off in the beginning.
Sorry, that was mockery of the people who think this should pass unchallenged.
They don’t have to know you CCW...I don’t let silly signs in business windows determine my personal safety or my 2A rights. That’s kinda the point of CCW anyways. But I understand how you might want to find another business to patronize.
Regardless of how childish the complaint is?
I don’t know if you understand the impact of what is happening in our country spiritually.
And a red coffee cup without a wreath or ornament on it is hastening that spiritual downfall?
