Republican presidential contender Ted Cruz struck gold with his comments on immigration at Tuesday nightâs debate, delivering remarks that resonated well with a Fox News focus group composed of New Hampshire primary voters.
âThe Democrats are laughing, because if Republicans join Democrats as the party of amnesty, we will lose,â Cruz said.

âAnd, you know, I understand that when the mainstream media covers immigration, it doesnât often see it as an economic issue,â he continued. âBut, I can tell you for millions â of Americans at home watching this, it is a very personal economic issue. And, I will say the politics of it will be very, very different if a bunch of lawyers or bankers were crossing the Rio Grande. Or if a bunch of people with journalism degrees were coming over and driving down the wages in the press.â
Cruz then hit things home with a line that drew loud applause from the crowd.
âAnd, I will say for those of us who believe people âought to come to this country legally, and we should enforce the law, weâre tired of being told itâs anti-immigrant,â he said. âItâs offensive.â
Those remarks, and that final line in particular, performed well with the Fox News focus group.
âWatch how high the lines climb,â pollster Frank Luntz commented as he showed the dials.

Exactly.
"The thing I like most about Cruz is that he is *not* a deal maker."That would explain his lack of accomplishments.------
Exactly
Only if you're a liberal troll who has to pull out his drool rag at the mention of Cruz's name.
You must hate the response Cruz is getting. Right? Must be burning way down deep...like a case of severe indigestion.
Enjoy, troll. There's more to come.

Now you've done it! The CDS sufferers and birthers are inbound!
LOL, says another troll who only shows up at election season.

Where was Barack Obama in the polls as compared to Hilary Clinton this time in 2007? Who ended up winning?

Your posting history says it all, election season troll.
2008...2012...and now.
At first you were “ambivalent” toward Cruz-—your kind doesn’t like to show your cards right off the bat-—but it didn’t take long for the hostility to show.
Your kind always shows us who you fear. So gnash away.
You bet, Mr Troll.
Talk about trolling...I think you missed some other posts in other years, but anything to fit your narrative, I guess. I like a lot of what Cruz says, but he is bought and paid for...and I couldn’t resist an opening like you left :) Enjoy!
From what source does all these people ( anti-Ted Cruz ) get their information from by the way ?
A . A internet site ?
B. Some talk show talk show host ?
C. Some group ? A political action group ? The Teamsters Union ?
Please tell us from just what source of information does it come from where many anti- Cruz people get their stuff that he is bought and paid for ?
An internet site...Free Republic
I should have excluded Free Republic as a source because it seems most who are against Ted Cruz here have made those statements about him being bought and paid for from personal opinion.
They make it up as they go to suit their purposes. To say that Cruz lacks accomplishments, but Trump does, is mind-boggling. I guess Cruz would be more accomplished if he’d failed four times and filed bankruptcies on each. Cruz whould have been more accomplished if he had been a raving liberal for quite a few years? Had a bazillion weddings to bimbos where Clintons and that ilk attend? Maybe speak like a second-grader: Huge. Tremendous. Big. Great? He seems to be obsessed with size or the lack thereof.
You gotta laugh because these guys are entertaining. Catch the push poll thread. Your sides will hurt from laughing so hard. If you enjoy the Dummie Funnies, that thread is a classic.
