As many of you know, many months ago I sensed that Donald Trump might be a political force, and I began working on a book about the campaign, mostly focused on Trump. If indeed he continues to lead and wins the nomination (let alone the election), I'll be ready to go to a publisher.
The point is, I try to follow Trump-related stuff closely, both pro- and anti-. Last night I sensed a new strategy in dealing with Trump: Ignore him. Now, it's true that he got a lot of air time. By one account he still barely led Rubio, Cruz, and Kasich. But judging by Freeper comments there was a level of surprise that they seemed to be freezing him out as much as they did Cruz in the first debate.
I thought little of this until watching "The Five" tonight. Admittedly, except for (sometimes) Eric Bolling, "The Five" are notorious Trump haters. Dana Perrino and Greg Guttfeld especially are obvious in their hostility. Often (unfortunately) Juan Williams is one of the few actually pointing out what is happening in Trump's rallies and his continued lead in the polls.
So, I expected more vitriol tonight, except . . . . nothing. I tuned in about 10 minutes into the show. Perhaps all they did prior to that time was talk Trump, but from that point on, they didn't even mention his name. I don't think it came up, even in passing or by comparison, once. According to "The Five," Jindal was good, Christie was "presidential," Bush was good, Rubio was great, Paul made good points, even Carson was good. . . . but not a word about Trump.
We'll see if this continues, or, perhaps, if it's only on Fox. But I sense the new strategy at least on Fox is to pretend The Donald is the invisible man.
Thank you for the ping.... ;>)
That’s fantastic! They are probably getting some kind of income from google hits, right? That might give them a budget for hit counters, etc.
LOL....Secure the Border...build the Wall (that we budgeted how long ago? And, never got!)
How many stinkin’ times have we heard a politician say this??
I don’t want the border “secured” first. I want the illegals deported, DAY ONE. The wall and other measures Trump has proposed would COINCIDE with DEPORTATION.
O’Reilly was trying to shame Trump for wanting to deport the illegals, on his pitiful show, tonight.
I’m sick of this “well, we can’t do this, until we do that” BS. We’ve been told that since Kay Bailey Hutchison first got elected, or before.
Thanks!
Maybe the campaign has put them on the payroll. ;)
They would be worth it.
The bill blowhard just can’t stand being wrong on anything...Trump proved he was right on the anchor babies and now Trump is going to prove he’s right on the deportation of ILLEGAL immigrants....that’s the part people don’t think about...ILLEGAL....
Yep. Bill is OWNED by the Open Borders Murdock.
Rupert has Bill’s you-know-whats locked up in a spin zone.
Wouldn’t surprise me. Trump loves entrepreneurial people.
I posted that on the LIVE thread, last night. Too hilarious.
“It would seem that way. Probably something they coordinate through a TWITTER FEED.”
Twitter, facebook and email addresses created for spreading their bs.
Pomposity'R'BOR, sure enough. Trump doesn't let him have the last word: "Bill. You DON'T need a Constitutional Amendment!"
I love how The Donald has now relaxed into the role and his natural confidence is impressive. May God bless him, and work through him to help this country.
“You betcha ;-) “
(Sigh ....)
They [posted] this picture to Twitter when Bush was speaking
BWAHAHAHAHAHAH! They ought to be on The View or The Talk! Such natural comedians, and so smart about politics! I'd much rather listen to either of them than Whoopi Goldberg or Sharon Osborne.
On the other hand OAN breaks in for EVERY ONE of Trumps rallies and covers it in its entirety!!!!
Very, very small coverage compared to the drive-bys, the major conservative media. Fox probably has 10 times the viewership.
Are these two at the ACTUAL debate??? If they are God Bless them both staying informed and speaking out!!! I love these two they are hilarious!!!!
Yes they were at the debate as guests of Trump’s campaign manager.
