MJ is toxic

Ignorant nonsense - the lethal dose of THC is 240 joints.

There are other things you take to relieve pain.

Those other things are, in fact, toxic.

"MJ is toxic crap. There are other things you take to relieve pain."

And all of them more toxic than marijuana.

That said, my youthful experience did not note any pain relief qualities.

But I do know a bunch of Vets who use it for PTSD and get very good results...if for no other reason than keeping them off the bottle.

On the HBO series Entourage they made California medical marijuana into a running joke and a scam where potheads were easily able to buy their sacred “herb” at dispensaries with a doctors note from a pro-marijuana MD.

“horsepoop. MJ is toxic crap. There are other things you take to relieve pain.”

Well I beg to differ. My wife, who is 73, suffers from back pain (she has had one surgery and may have to have two more), and she is alegic to opioids. She has never smoked her entire life, but she has gotten some relief from her pain using marijuana. So unless you’re a doctor with some evidence to the contrary, your comment is the “horsepoop” here. Sometimes there are not “other things” to relieve pain, and in point of fact, “pain management” is one of the medical travesties of our time. The fact is, the medical profession has not done a decent job of understanding and successfully treating pain.

Sorry but you’re ignorant of the facts. I have used pot infused salves for nerve pain due to MS and it, in FACT, does alleviate the pain. True Medical Marijuana is low in THC and high in Cannabanoids so smoking it ain’t going to do much for stoners. Since what I used was external I can’t see as I fall in to that category.

What I am forced to use on a regular basis is Lyrica. This is a controlled rx product which is prone to abuse. The whole “marijuana is a gateway drug” has nothing on this product. I’m supposed to be taking 100mg 3x a day but generally only take it once before bed as it incapacitates me (i.e. not driving or operating heavy machinery).

Marijuana was used extensively for medical purposes before the 1930s when the drug companies started pushing their agendas and has been vilified (and abused) since. But there’s no end to folks that know everything and since they smoked it once in high school they know there’s nothing good that can come from it.

“MJ is toxic crap. There are other things you take to relieve pain.”

Yeah, but most of them are opiates, which are much more toxic than marijuana.

Oh goodness. You have that completely backwards. EVERY SINGLE OTHER pain reliever is very toxic and has drug interactions (opiods, ibuprofen, acetaminophen and naproxen)

Cannabis was shown repeatedly to have *absolutely zero* toxicity at any dose and no known drug interaction. Even when the doses are astronomical and only possible in a lab setting.

There has NEVER been any organ damage or overdose from cannabis at ANY dose.

Sure, smoke causes lung damage but with today’s advancements nobody has to smoke it. You can inhale clean vapor or take pills.

Cannabis prohibition is a SCAM to keep the sales of toxic, expensive painkillers high.

Big pharm’s painkillers are toxic (you can die from an overdose), plus addictive and develop tolerances, not to mention a host of other negative side effects. MM is mild and benign in comparison. You are simply spouting ignorance.

The pharmaceuticals you recommend in place of medical MJ kill thousands upon thousands of people every year.

The MJ that you rabidly attack kills approximately zero people every year.

Your ignorance is showing.

Back in the 80s while playing basketball someone’s shoulder drove up into my jaw with great force resulting in painful and annoying TMJ compression. Acupuncture helped bring relief but marijuana works better. And it’s cheaper. If I don’t smoke pot my jaw starts to ache and I always feel like I need to yawn. I only speak for myself.
