College football fans are alumni, parents, and grandparents of students, band-members, and athletes.

What will happen if they no longer attended the games?

They can talk all day about how important college football is to the universities, but you still need people in the seats and eyeballs to the televisions.

My prediction is that attendance is going to decline, starting with Saturday's game against BYU. The silent majority is watching the events and taking notice. No parent, who are going to be middle-class and white, are going to risk their lives attending a Mizzou home game.

Yes, I was thinking the same thing. It will be interesting to see the alumni reaction to this over the next year or two. My guess is not only attendance will go down, but also alumni contributions will decline as well.
