Former President George H.W. Bush has moderated his views on same-sex marriage since seeking the White House, according to a new biography.
Bush said in his audio diary before his 1988 presidential campaign that Americans "didn't want same-sex marriage codified," according to The New York Times. But after he served as an official witness at a 2013 same-sex wedding, he sent his biographer, Jon Meacham, a note to clarify that his views had changed....

Every one of them sold us out -- GHWB for China and Mexico; GWB for all the muslim terrorists for the next few centuries; JEB for all the Mexicans and those from farther south.
F'em all.
A Christian just does not “mellow” on belief in the Holy Scriptures, God’s Word. You either still believe it or you never did believe it the first place. George W Bush never was a Christian in the first place.... something that is finally becoming apparent.
Think about it, if he was “mellow” on becoming a member of scull and bones, then he was NOT a Christian!
“Gads these people are tiresome.”
They truly are. Nevertheless, they are doing a great job of burying themselves alive. Finally we will be done with the long absence of conservatism from Reagan until now. With their suffocating Vichy regime gone, maybe we can finally move forward again.
He sounds just like like that greasy weasel Kasich.
Mind numbing.
G*D D@mn you. It's your squishyness and moral flexibility that has wrecked the nation in the first place. It is your utter fecklessness and your refusal to see the Democrats as evil that has caused us to reach this unhappy position we now inhabit.
You wrecked the Reagan Revolution, and you CREATED the Bill Clinton phenomena. You were a horrible President; The Worst Mistake Reagan ever made.
I wish I had never heard of you, and I hate you for the fact that I had to campaign for your sorry @$$ because of your willful stupidity in dealing with the Democrats. You were a lost cause, and everything about you has turned out to be just wrong. From your Abortion supporting wife, to your Country Club mannerisms, to your utter puppy dog like love of Bill Clinton, the Nation simply cannot get far enough away from the milquetoast legacy of George Herbert Walker Born-with-a-Silver-Spoon-in-his-mouth Bush.
Traitor to his constituency to the very last.
No problem. They are both peas-in-a-pod anyway.
Bushes have inclinations, but few principles. They know little and understand less.
I have seen this “mellowing” process over and over again in politicians, friends and acquaintances. It comes, I believe, from not having a strong core belief in things that do not change, (God’s truth) and a hazy allegiance to the idea that all things “evolve” including morality.... all in the name of “progress”. After all... technology shows progress... why not morality?
Yes, Bush senior was a brave man in WWII and loves our country, but without the SCBIGT (strong core beliefs in God’s truth), people drift with the wind of man’s wisdom.
I vote for Dana.
Watch them put “Poppy” away in a secure environment again this Holiday Season.
He will have a “mild pneumonia” from Thanksgiving ‘til New Year’s while the other Bushies party hearty.
Would love to know what he tells the nurses aides during those Holiday stays, and how many asses he pinches!
Has he also “mellowed” on the Constitution?
Yep. And Huckabee too. Their message seems to be that Jesus would want you to support gay marriage, amnesty and more social spending out of “compassion.” Its twisted.
I bet Mr. Bohemian Grove has mellowed on all things gay.
Dementia has obviously reared its head.
“Wrong Bush. Nevermind.”
It’s OK. They are running as a composite blob of sanctimony, outrage and pomposity anyway. If it is confusing it is because they are all running in and out of the clown car, squeezing the bulbs on their horns.
Thats strange, Bush 41. God has not mellowed in his views.
It’s not mellowing. A bit of mental deterioration?
The nuts don’t fall far from the Bohemian Grove.
When one Bush runs, they all run. The old man must think that he is helping out his son’s campaign.
