Well that explains why they are leaving Syria in droves. Last one out shut out the lights. Well be in Europe and America where things like this don’t happen. I guess I don’t blame them for getting out of dodge. Every one of us would do the same I would imagine to protect our kids.
Except they apparently don’t bring the kids.
Quite a few folks, including Geraldo Rivera (of all people) have proposed setting up a safe zone in northern Syria. The zone would be protected by European and U.S. forces.
Even though the details are missing, that seems like the best of all the bad options here.
Did their fathers leave them behind in the mass exodus to Europe which was overwhelmingly able-bodied men?

It is way past time for us to do some above ground nuke testing and I have just the sights in mind for it.
