2) Terminate all the scholarships of the athletes who refuse to play.
3) Oust them from the SEC
4) If all this doesn't get Mizzou to field a team, then have the NCAA kill the program. End all athletic scholarships.
Open the team up to all the guys playing intramural ball, right now. Field a team on Saturday even if the score is 100-0.
Consider any scholarship player who doesn’t show in breach of contact and just give his place on the team to someone else.
That would hurt the women’s programs equally. Title 9 requires parity in the number of scholarships offered. A football team is by far the largest single distributor of athletic scholarships on a campus. If the school lost football, they would likely have to disband four or five women’s teams to comply with Totle 9.
They never should have been made a member of the SEC anyway. Should have raided the ACC for a team when they brought in TX A&M.
I couldn't believe the SEC invited them in the first place. What was the SEC thinking?
