No.

MOH: earned by incredible heroism in combat, usually at the cost of the recipient's own life. Often awarded posthumously.

MOF: earned by a civilian's accomplishment in whatever field they've dedicated their life to. Often awarded to celebrities.

I was speaking in terms of the award, not what is required to receive it.

Highest civilian/military honor....see how they are similar?

I agree, the requirement for a Medal of Honor is much higher. and rarer, I believe.

I think the Medal of freedom has been much diluted, much like the Nobel Peace Prize.
