When I was a Corporate Guy, that’s how I wore my Ties.
I’m over 6’2” and long waisted. Wearing a Tie any shorter didn’t work for me. I had to buy them at a Big and Tall Store.

I’m over 6’2†and long waisted. Wearing a Tie any shorter didn’t work for me. I had to buy them at a Big and Tall Store.Same here. I'm 6'3" and if I wear a standard tie, I look like Mall Cop. So I have to pay almost twice as much and get the "Tall" ties and they tend to hang either at or just below my belt line. Much better than a tie that's too short.
