You may have the modern Kalashnikovs confused with the AK47.
You may have modern M4s confused with old M16A0. My statement was more factual and less ignorant than yours was. I own a couple of the 5.45 rifles and they are not noticeably better at hitting stuff far away than my 7.62 AKs are.
