I have a theory other than Existential Cage Theory. It’s that at some point mid 90s as best as I can figure it, one of two events occured.

1: Some star-Trekian spacetime rift occurred and we ended up in a Spock’s Beard universe where everything is backwards and upside down and logic refuses to function.

2: The Apocalypse/Trib/rapture happened. We were found wanting and actually ARE in hell.

One of these is true. I am not sure which.

There are, theoretically, infinite universes, based on the outcome of infinite events (a butterfly moves. A grain of sand falls off a rock).

Some of those events are people making decisions.

I believe we are in this universe, this horrible terrible universe, because of the bad decisions *I* have made.
You guys happen to be along for the ride.

Sorry folks. I am so very sorry.

Somewhere, there is a universe where I made good decisions, and in that universe, President Cruz and Vice President Palin have the Republican nomination in the bag for their second term.
