Rubio made notes on what he spent on personal expenses, and reimbursed the GOP in full every month when the bill came in. It doesn’t sound very scandalous to me.

Thank you for answering my question before I asked it. That really does make this a non-issue. Do you have a source though?

"Rubio made notes on what he spent on personal expenses, and reimbursed the GOP in full every month when the bill came in. It doesn't sound very scandalous to me." Sorry but he didn't reimburse the GOP. He said he paid it directly to AMEX and has not produced any records to prove it.
There are also serious questions about political action committees he set up with most of the money donated going to "expenses" and salaries (including family members) with very little going to the candidates.
Give a minute and I will see if I can find the link for the document of research.

So, he has a record of the reimbursement transactions?
It sounds a lot Ollie co-mingling of funds, a big no-no.

Exactly..plus the fact this was publicized and dealt with five years ago. Barring some new revelation, this is a nonexistent problem.

He should have used his own credit card for his personal items and the GOP card for GOP business items. That way there would be no problem. He chose not to do that and in politics that is probably not a wise move on his part.

That raises a question. Why didn't he have his own card for those charges?

Sounds like a Hillary type thing. Keep it professional and separate business from personal.

However, he should have used his personal credit card for personal purchases. That he did not shows poor judgment.

Rubio made notes on what he spent on personal expenses, and reimbursed the GOP in full every month when the bill came in.The point is he has a personal credit card that should have been used. That practice keeps his money in the bank accumulating interest. Next time I go to the movies, I'll use your credit card but promise to pay you back, ok?
