We tried to get rid of the property tax in ND a few years ago ... The measure failed.
Incredible isn't it? Reminds me of when 1000s protested GW Bush's proposed tax cuts and I'm wondering "HTH can so many be against a tax cut?
Duh ... the Takers of Society don't pay taxes.

The people in opposition lied about how it would affect farmers and ranchers. Trying to get the truth out over their outrageous claims was almost impossible. Like I said, they were well funded.

Despite the measure containing provisions for equitable school funding, the teachers came out against it as well. Kids were told their education would suffer (another lie)...

It is hard to fight that sort of disinformation.
