He was not offered anything. Carson was and is totally ignorant of entrance requirements to service academies. He admitted tonight on O’Reilly that “some” said he could get in easy, so he took that to mean he could get in on a “full scholarship”, and he’s been spouting the same story for the last 40 years. He didn’t mention Westmoreland, but I’m sure if you listen to any of his interviews tomorrow he’ll get around to saying the general personally offered him an appointment to West Point. What makes him look so bad is he can’t keep his story straight. I heard him today ranting and raving about being “picked on” by the media and how it’s not right. He kept nervously looking around like Richard Kimbel on The Fugitive. My wife said “he’s trying to hide something or he wouldn’t look so guilty and mad when talking”.
