No, nor did he claim to. He has said, consistently, and for years, that he only applied to one school - Yale - because that was all he could afford to apply to.

I wanted to also let people know that if someone says they’re offered a “full scholarship” to a service academy (Army, Navy, Air-Force, Marines), they’re lying. In Carson’s case, there’s no such thing as a “scholarship” to West Point. The government subsidizes every student - they’re effectively in the Army and their training is free. Even with the suspect headline from Politico, what Carson said is untrue. He knew it and that is why he admitted that he lied.
