So, it’s not racist to attack a black Republican, but hands off of black Democrats? Carson should hit back at the racist media and play the race card.
A Conservative American with black skin gets traction, and the Media puts on the full-court press to destroy him (or her).
Kind of weird. And very sick.
I understand COMPLETELY: I work for the federal government in Washington, DC, probably the most pc place on the face of the globe, BUT...
Here on this site, I humbly recommend that we not knuckle under and jump through liberal hoops at their command.
In reply #1 I had made the same points as the article you cited.
I was saying I agree with the article.
And I see folks are still looking for plaster saints, even if it’s plaster colored with asphalt....
I truly hope that the rest of the GOP field comes out in support of Carson on this, and excoriate Politico and all the MSM media, for today it’s Carson, tomorrow it’ll be one of them.
Every single GOP candidate should view the media as enemy number one, worse than Clinton. They need to eviscerate them more fiercely than their worst enemy, and they need to do so in their faces.
It’s going to blow back on the liberal MSM.
Ya know what?
I have had enough of this!
You are a Trumper? Correct? Well I am a Cruz supporter and have been receiving the same flak from the Trumpers since his emotional laden personality campaign began. I say that because I don't see much thinking going on here and this is why I am not surprised by the constant "harpy" like behavior.
I also find it amusing that self proclaimed conservatives don't seem to have any analytical skills and are running wild on emotional rhetoric.
Do yourself a favor, and continue to back your guy, but stop the useless unprovoked insults.
I know that I for one will appreciate it.
oops! Amen!
wait a second does this have anything to with Benghazi and people being left to die? Hummm, didn’t think so.
If Trump and Cruz really want to look good in this, they’ll defend Dr. Ben here.
Well I hate to tell you that Carson was still telling this story on his FaceBook page a few months ago.
I would say that what Carson has done over time is embellish a story to the point that most people believe he actually applied for and received admission to West Point. However it has become a fabrication over time due to Carson’s failure to clarify the facts right away.
His book says that:
1. He was offered a scholarship
2. He only applied to one school, which was not West Point
These two are not contradictory - he received a verbal/casual offer from a General. He knew it wasn’t a formal offer as he stated he only applied to one school (i.e. not West Point).
The differences between the top few GOP hopefuls and anything on the Democrat side are so vast as to make their own differences look quite tiny.
None of the GOP figures are envisioning ruling as a despot, the way Obama has been doing, pushing past traditional conservative Constitutional boundaries just because nobody will call him or her on it. The GOP side’s policy preferences should be viewed in that perspective, IMHO. When Bernie or Hillary say they want something, on the other hand, you can count on their being Obama II to get it.
The piling on starts. Wait till Rush plays the clips on Monday from the MSM news programs tonight.
So Fortune magazine is so racist that they have joined the dregs of humanity at Politico in the electronic lynching of the only Black man in the race. That he is an exemplary man makes this racist attack even more shameful.
“there is no such thing as a scholarship to west point. not only is tuition free, if you manage to get nominated and admitted, they pay you to attend.”
I went to a military grad school for free. I told my civilian friends I got a tuition free scholarship. Maybe not exactly true but stated in a way a civilian could understand.
Carson was not careful and a misleading interpretation took off. But once we dig to the facts, everybody knows what he intended (he was personally assured of eligibility based on the known facts) and that it would have been a reasonable way to put it in an environment where everything is not being parsed to death by eternally hostile agents. This is not a stark contradiction that is trying to hide behind a game like “what is is.”
