We got way past that point a long time ago, general...

A friend was recently complaining to me about the “two systems of justice in this country”. I told him that he was deluding himself if he thought that justice was part of the US punishment system and that I stopped keeping track of how many separate ones there were once it got into double digits.

"Two justice systems is right." Look no farther than football player Michael Irvin. When you see somebody with an extensive drug history on the TV show COPS on a traffic stop, the cops find their drug pipe, and the guy says, "Oh, my friend gave that to me to get rid of it and I just didn't do it yet," the cops always tell him, "OK, we believe you, you're good to go here." Right? Yeah, sure.

If Michael Irvin's history doesn't convince you, Paris Hilton removes all doubt. She's been busted for coke more often than you get your oil changed and she's done a total of 20 hours in jail.
