Ginger White, the alleged mistress who delivered the sharp knockout blow to his White House hopes, said that it was ‘exciting’ when she began her dalliances with Mr Cain some 13 years ago, but as the years wore on, the sessions began to lose their lustre.
‘One time after we had sex, I cried. He said, “Maybe we shouldn’t do this for a while.†So maybe he did have a heart - or half a heart. But I knew I needed his financial help.’
She added: ‘When he first started, it was pretty sporadic, but the last 2 1/2 years, there was consistent financial help every month... But I think every time he had sex with me, he was getting a lot more than I was getting.’
She said she knew from the beginning that Mr Cain was married, as he always wore his wedding ring, but he never really spoke of his wife, whom she’d never met.â€
